We are keen to encourage good relationships between the Police and geocaching community; GAGB is in ongoing dialogue with the Association of Chief Police Officers to exchange information, and there is a process to enable Officers to check specific geocaches if necessary (through their control room).
If you are challenged by a Police Officer then you should immediately explain about geocaching and ideally show evidence of this, such as this page, a cache page or geocaching leaflet. On the other hand geocachers may come across things which may be useful to the Police such as evidence of crime (e.g. abandoned wallets/handbags) or other information. These should be reported through the non-emergency number 101 (landline or mobile) unless there is immediate risk to someone in which case dial 999.

Voters must also have been FULL members on of before the 14th October 2011, any votes cast by members who joined after that date will be discounted.
